If you've been lusting after those sexy STEEL TALON's
hats, or would like to win a six-pack of your favorite
beverage, here's your chance!!!

We are holding TWO SIMULTANEOUS STEEL TALONS TOURNAMENTS
tomorrow.  There are now two STEEL TALONS cabinets in
the Engineering common area.  One cabinet will be desig-
nated as the HEAD-TO-HEAD TOURNAMENT CABINET, and the
other cabinet will be designated as the MISSION TOURNAMENT
CABINET.  The rules are as follows:

HEAD-TO-HEAD TOURNAMENT RULES
-----------------------------

1) You MUST register with either myself or Ed Logg by
   6:30 PM this evening (Thursday 8/15).

2) You will be put on a SINGLE ELIMINATION tournament
   ladder.  This ladder will be posted by the HEAD-TO-
   HEAD TOURNAMENT CABINET by Friday 9:00 AM.

3) You must schedule your tournament match with your opponent
   and update the ladder yourself.  All matches must be 
   complete by 5:00 PM on Friday 8/16/91.

4) Each match will be a best of 13 round event (i.e. the
   first player to 7 Kills)

5) Third place will be determined by a consolation play-off
   of the semi-finalist losers.

6) It is legal to use the 30MM gun or ANY OTHER MEANS short
   of direct physical abuse.

7) The top three places will each win a sixer of the beverage
   of her choice.

8) Fourth place will win a STEEL TALONS hat.

9) All other participants will receive a STEEL TALONS patch.


MISSION TOURNAMENT RULES
------------------------

1)  You may use as many credits as you wish.

2)  You may play either solo or linked.

3)  NO CHEATING (if you know how to cheat you know what I mean)
    This is on the honor system, but there may be spot checking
    from time to time.  If we catch you, we break the sixer of 
    OUR choice over your head.

4)  The high score on each side will win a sixer of the beverage
    of his choice.

5)  The number 2 player on each side will receive a STEEL TALONS
    hat.

6)  All other players on the high score table will receive a
    STEEL TALONS patch.

7)  This tournament starts at 3:00 PM today (8/15) and ends at
    5:00 PM on Friday (8/16/91)


NOTE:  There is a limit of 1 prize per person FOR EACH TOURNAMENT.

In the event of a dispute, the decision of the judges (Ed Logg and
Ed Rotberg) is FINAL!!!
