Trivia question: Quess why Weird Stuff is moving? The City of Milpitas is throwing them out because this area is not zoned retail. Tomorrow is the last day they are open to the public.

Hello....... I have good news for those of you who miss Weird Stuff. There is a new business called "Curtis Trading" to fill the void. Curtis Trading is located on Milpitas Blvd near the corner of Yosemite. They deal more in big stuff like furniture, computers, test equipment, software, metro carts, etc. It looks like they are getting into smaller stuff, but they don't have the piles of junk that Weird Stuff had. The big difference, though, is .......they are really nice! (can you believe it?) When I walk in they say, "Hi Carole!" And they wave at me every Saturday and Sunday when I ride by on my bike. So, if you go there, be sure to say biker Carole sent you. Also, reserve a time in your schedule this weekend or next week to go to Camera One to see "Citizen Kane". This movie has always been called the greatest movie ever made. I had seen it several times on television and always thought it was really good, but wasn't convinced it was the best ever. Well, you have to see the film version on a big screen to appreciate it. I sat in the theater saying to myself, "This IS the best film ever made." The photography is incredible! They must have lightened it up for video on tv. It is so beautifully shot, dark and brooding. There are scenes when the characters are speaking from a complete shadow. It is totally cool, no director now would do the stuff in this film, it couldn't possibly be done in color, it's awesome, go see it!!!! ok bye Carole
