With the increase in the number of 14MHz 68000 games we have here, I think I should point out a potential problem area. While it is obvious to all (I hope) that you can't run a board at 14MHz with an 8MHz 68000, it is also true that you shouldn't run a board at 7MHz with a 16MHz processor. This is because the faster parts have a MINIMUM clock speed requirement of 8MHz. If you do run a fast part at this speed you may encounter flakey operation, particularly when the part gets hot. So . . . The bottom line is when you grab a 68000 to stuff into your board make sure it is the right speed for the job. This goes especially for the processors in the Arium and AMS emulator pods since they typically run much hotter than processors on a board. Tim
