Introducing the Atari Games PREFERRED PARTS REPORT, a guide for helping you
chose which components you should use on new designs.  The report will be 
published in hard-copy periodically, but you can search an up-to-date copy 
that is compiled each night by adding the following to your LOGIN.COM:

Add:           $PREFERRED :==SEARCH ATARI$AVL:PREFERRED.LIS

Then after your next login (or $RESTART), you can search by Atari part number, 
generic number, or description.  All you have to do is type: 

                              PREFERRED item

where 'item' is the text or number your looking for.  You can search for as many
items as you like at once by separating each item with a comma.  You can display
the entire report by searching for " " (quote-space-quote). 

  examples:            $ PREFERRED eprom
                       $ PREFERRED 6-32,8-32
                       $ PREFERRED 137001

Upper case/Lower case doesn't matter, and you can use any standard DCL
SEARCH qualifiers including: 

           /HIGHLIGHT=UNDER       will underscore matching text
           /LOG                   will tell you how many matches it found
           /OUTPUT=file-spec      will put the results into a file 
           /MATCH=AND             will only find a record that matches all
                                  the items/numbers that you specify
                                  (ex: PREFERRED/MATCH=AND eprom,128kx8)

If you want a new hard-copy of the report between regular printings, you can
send ATARI$AVL:PREFERRED.LIS to any suitable printer (please note, the report
is 102 columns wide, so it wont fit vertically on an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet).
