On the Gulf War

The Arabs may or may not remember that Hussein attacked Kuwait but they will most certainly remember the Arabs killed when the allied forces attack.

3 days before the beginning of Operation Desert Storm, an Atari employee appeals for peace.

Here we go...

(1 / 1)

Well somebody has to do it.. (2 days to go).

Once we go to war there will be no turning back. There will be sons and
daughters and fathers and mothers killed. There will be thousands of Americans
killed and thousands more disfigured so that their lives will never be the same.
It may be a fast war, it may be a decisive war, but no war is a clean war.

The Arabs may or may not remember that Hussein attacked Kuwait but they
will most certainly remember the Arabs killed when the allied forces attack.
If we destroy Iraq there will be millions of refugees. They will not be looking
at America as their savior.

Going to war represents a major defeat for the administration. All the
talk about a "single voice" in the U.S. being the single greatest chance for
peace is just so much B.S. when the war starts.

I believe that sanctions should be given more time. One possible action
at this time is a full military blockade, stopping all air, sea and ground
transport into and out of Iraq. This is technically an act of war, but it will
kill many fewer people.

					Peace,
