Our trusty old IMI EPROM programmer has been limping along with one socket marked "Bad Verify" - I understand that the socket is not used. Should we get it repaired? Do we program enough 27512's to make it worthwhile? It will cost $400 to repair it. We can also "upgrade" it for $1200; this buys us faster programming algorithms and faster download (IMI claims 38.4 K on the serial line), but still NO 32-pin devices. Is the upgrade worthwhile? IMI says their 32-pin device gang/set EPROM programmer is coming soon. I have heard that for about 2 years now. Opinions, testimonials, complaints, etc. are solicited. Is the repair worthwhile @ $400? Is the upgrade worthwhile @ $1200?
