I have 3 free-admission registration cards for the upcoming Seybold Computer
Publishing Expo being held next week in the San Jose Convention Center (I
can get an unlimited number of additional cards from one of our printers).
The Expo will fill the building, plus Gutenberg's Garage across the street,
also free for attendees.  The Garage is several hand-on demo areas for
which you have to sign up in advance; each is 2 hours long and lets you see
more details about a system than is possible on a crowded convention floor.

Attend if you can while it's still conveniently close -- the Seybold people
booked fall dates for the next five years in the newly-expanded Moscone Center
in San Francisco.

The exhibitors include Apple, IBM, DEC, Sun, NeXT, software and hardware
companies, including mfrs. of scanners, monitors, laser printers, film
records, imagesetters, multimedia equipment and software, animation packages,
desktop video editing, magazines, books, you name it.  The hours are: Oct. 2nd
and 3rd, 10 am-5 pm; Oct. 4, 10 am-3 pm.
