Max Behensky informed me that downloads will go faster with larger record sizes. I did some experiments and found that /rec=2000 instead of /rec=250 will reduce download times by 25% or so (your mileage will vary). Feel free to vary the sizes and let me know the optimal size. We believe this change occured when we added the ethernet to the VAXs. Do not try to use /rec=4000 because it will hang the AMS. I do not know the limit for the AMS, so if you find the limit let me know about that too.
