We have several new people that have not been told, and several old people that need a reminder..... @sys$mail:everybody is reserved for official company business like new hires, building closures, company announcements, etc. As it's name implies, it goes to EVERYBODY. @sys$mail:junk is used for other items of interest that you want to pass on to ALMOST everybody. This list does not include those people who do not like getting junk mail. It can be used to send notices of interesting conferences, items for sale, interesting ideas, etc. When in doubt, use this one (you will rarely need to use the first one). While I am at it, if you use the POST command from VMS (instead of the SEND command from MAIL), the VAX will run the job in the background, avoiding bringing your VAX to it's knees. Thanks! John
