1991 UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN

(1 / 1)

It's time for the 1991 United Way Campaign to begin, and
you will be hearing about United Way and the 104 health and
human care agencies and special projects it supports. Atari
supports United Way for a number of reasons.

Perhaps the most compelling reason to support United Way
is because your gift will touch the lives of many people
in our community. Last year, one out of three county
residents used the services of a United Way - supported
agency -- services such as emergency assistance, vocational
training for people with disabilities, counseling and educa-
tion programs for abused children and emotionally disturbed
children, day care for children and the elderly and much more.

United Way strives to keep its administrative costs to a
minimum. Through the support of dedicated volunteers, United
Way achieves this goal. Approximately 90 cents of every dollor
contributed to United Way goes directly to local agencies.
Allocation of funds to each agency is decided by volunteers,
after a very thorough process of evaluation.

Through Atari's support of United Way, many people will receive
vital health and human care services from agencies throughout
Santa Clara County. Your gift can be given through payroll
deduction, a method that lets you offer a generous gift by
spreading small payments throughout the year, or by a one time
donation. Your contribution is a wise way to show our community
	you care.
